Episode 416 - "Leap Of Faith"
I had the privilege of working on “Brothers & Sisters” all five seasons. I started out as a production assistant in the production office. In season two, I transitioned into the writers’ department as the series script coordinator where I learned so much about the inner workings of a Greg Berlanti writers’ room.
In season four, I earned a coveted freelance episode, which would be my very first produced television credit. The entire experience was fantastic, and, anecdotally, it was during production of “Leap Of Faith” when I first connected with Jamelle Dolphin and started down the journey that would become “Recorded In Hollywood.
Episode 509 - "Get A Room"
I was officially promoted to staff writer in season 5 and started in the writers’ room just a couple months after my first daughter was born. It was an incredible experience. I got to work with great veterans of television, as well as some new voices.
The writers’ room is a special place, especially on a series as beloved as “Brothers & Sisters.” Every day in a writers’ room is an education. It’s challenging but rewarding, and so much fun.
Episode 521 - "For Better Or For Worse"
Had I known this was going to be the second to last episode of “Brothers & Sisters” to ever be produced, I would have taken more pictures. Even when this episode aired on May 1, 2011, the fate of the series was still in question. Alas, everyone in my “Brothers & Sisters” family was heartbroken to learn we weren’t renewed for season six. It’s hard to complain, though. It was a great run.
